Type 1 Diabetes

Type 1 Diabetes :- 


  • Type 1 can occur at any age, but it is most often diagnosed in children, teens, or young adults. In this disease, the body makes little or no insulin. Daily injections of insulin are needed. The exact cause is unknown.
  • Type 1 diabetes occurs when your immune system destroys the beta cells in the pancreas that create insulin. As a result, the body makes very little or no insulin of its own. People with type 1 diabetes must take insulin daily. Type 1 diabetes is sometimes called juvenile diabetes or insulin dependent diabetes.




  • In insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus, also known as juvenile onset diabetes patients depend on insulin.
  •  The body does not produce insulin. Some people may refer to this type as insulin dependent diabetes or early onset diabetes.
  • Type 1 diabetes occurs when the body’s own immune system destroys the insulin producing cells of the pancreas. 
  • Type 1 diabetes only consider children under  the age of 15 and then again at 50 – 80…..type 1 diabetes incidence increase as a child gets older.

The cause of type 1 diabetes is believed to be due to three thaings :-

1.       Genetics





  2.    Self Allergy



  3. Virus and Chemical 



  Risk factors of Type  1 Diabetes:-
1.      High blood pressure
2.      Overweight or obese
3.      Poor disease management
